Abstract
Data processing and integration on heterogeneous data sources often require intensive human
resources. As Web Services standardizes the programmatic interfaces for application to
application communication, it has gained a considerable momentum as a mean to facilitate
processing and integrating heterogeneous data sources. To take full advantage of Web Services,
a Web Services oriented approach on data processing and integration is proposed. A novel
declarative script language, called WSIPL (Web Services Integration and Processing Language),
which provides specially designed language constructs for integrating and processing Web
Services systematically at minimal programming efforts will also be presented in the seminar.
