Abstract
In this seminar, I will present an index structure called
"iso-depth index" for managing weighted-sequences in large database. A
weighted-sequence is defined as a two-dimensional structure where each
element in the sequence is associated with a weight. We can use a
weighted-sequence to model DNA micro-array data and event management
systems data. With the help of iso-depth index, it enables us to
efficiently retrieve from the database all subsequences, possibly
non-contiguous, that match a query sequence both by elements and by
weights.
